The FIMC Monthly Planning Meeting brings together the Zeta Omega Fatherhood Initiative & Mentoring Committee to review progress, set priorities, and coordinate resources for the coming month. Together, we’ll:
Evaluate outcomes from recent events and outreach efforts
Finalize dates, venues, and volunteer assignments for upcoming signature programs
Identify partnership, sponsorship, and funding opportunities
Assign action items and establish timelines to ensure accountability
By aligning on metrics, sharing best practices, and leveraging our collective expertise, the FIMC meeting ensures each month’s activities advance our mission of empowering fathers and strengthening families.
The Fatherhood Community Cookout invites fathers, families, and community members to share culinary traditions, enjoy delicious soul food, barbecue, and celebrate community spirit. Featuring friendly cooking competitions, food tastings, and family-oriented activities, this lively event builds community bonds, encourages cultural exchange, and promotes positive family interactions through food and fellowship.

Annual Fatherhood Community Impact Day
The Annual Fatherhood Community Impact Day mobilizes fathers, families, and community volunteers to actively participate in neighborhood revitalization efforts. Participants foster civic pride, teamwork, and a shared commitment to creating healthier, safer, and more vibrant communities for future generations through organized clean-ups, landscaping, and beautification projects.
The Zeta Omega Fatherhood Camping Trip, sponsored by The EEG Foundation: Fathers Against Violence Program, plays a pivotal role in fostering meaningful connections and positive role modeling for students in grades 3 to 12. This annual event provides a unique opportunity for fathers and father figures to engage directly with young participants in a natural outdoor setting. Beyond its recreational value, the camping trip serves as a platform for teaching important life skills, promoting teamwork, and instilling values of respect and responsibility. By actively involving fathers in their children's lives and education, the camping trip strengthens family bonds and community cohesion, contributing to the overall well-being and development of young individuals within the Zeta Omega Fatherhood Initiative and Mentoring Program.
