The mentoring program is designed to support mentees in their professional and personal development by providing guidance, encouragement, and knowledge sharing.
Manhood
This 12 unit course explores essential elements of manhood, equipping young men with values, skills, and knowledge to become responsible, community-oriented leaders. Each session provides meaningful engagement through activities, discussions, and reflections.
Youth participants will examine historical and cultural narratives of manhood, develop life skills, and build a code of conduct rooted in integrity, accountability, and leadership. The course provides tools for young men to thrive as students, sons, brothers, and future leaders.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Define and articulate what manhood means to them personally and culturally.

Demonstrate emotional intelligence, accountability, and self-respect.

Apply conflict resolution and decision-making strategies rooted in values.

Understand historical and social challenges that shape perceptions of Black manhood.
